DV Pediatrics opened in Canton, GA in January 2002, and Dr. Vicki Knight-Mathis has been caring for children in this community ever since. We've stayed an independent, privately owned practice through more than two decades of change in healthcare — including a period when corporate ownership of pediatric practices became far more common nationally.

During the COVID-19 pandemic — a period when an estimated 16,000 private practices nationwide closed permanently — we kept seeing patients, including parking-lot visits when needed. In December 2023, a burst sprinkler pipe flooded our building on Christmas Eve; we were back in part of our space within two months, bridging the gap with house calls and parking-lot visits along the way.
